Acupuncture

Ancient wisdom. Modern healing. A safe, effective, and natural way to help your body heal, restore balance, and feel your best.

What Is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a practice with thousands of years of history behind it. Very fine, sterile, single-use needles are placed at specific points on the body to prompt your nervous system, circulation, and soft tissue to respond. Most people describe the sensation as a light tap or nothing at all, and many find the session itself deeply restful.

At Simpson Longevity House, acupuncture is delivered by a licensed acupuncturist and sits alongside the rest of your care, so it complements chiropractic, decompression, massage and movement work rather than replacing them.

Appointments Tuesday and Thursday, 4 to 7 PM. Sessions are by appointment only.

How it works

Chiropractic

How It Works

  1. 1

    Consultation & Assessment

We review your health history, current symptoms, sleep, stress and goals, then examine the areas involved to build a treatment plan specific to you.

  2. 2

    Treatment Session

You rest comfortably while very fine, sterile, single-use needles are placed at selected points. Most sessions run 20 to 40 minutes of retention time, and most people relax deeply or fall asleep.

  3. 3

    Aftercare & Plan

Needles are removed and disposed of. You can return to normal activity right away. We agree on a cadence and pair the work with nutrition, movement or other therapies where it helps.

Before your visit: eat something light beforehand, wear loose clothing, and tell us about any medications, implants, or recent health changes.

What You'll Feel & When (Typical Timeline)

Same day

Many people feel calm, loose, and noticeably relaxed for the rest of the day. Some feel a little sleepy, which is normal.

1 to 3 weeks

With a short series, usually one or two sessions a week to start, changes in pain, sleep and energy tend to build and hold longer between visits.

Ongoing

Frequency tapers as your goals are met. Some patients keep a periodic maintenance visit during high stress or heavy training periods.

Experience the Benefits

Relieves pain & inflammation

Targets back, neck and joint pain, headaches, neuropathy and stubborn overuse aches.

Reduces stress & promotes relaxation

Helps calm anxiety and balance emotions, and most people find the session itself restorative.

Improves sleep & energy

Better sleep quality and steadier daytime energy are two of the most commonly reported changes.

Supports overall wellness & healing

Supports immune function and general well-being as part of a broader, active care plan.

Responses vary by person and by condition. Acupuncture is used here as one part of a broader care plan, not as a standalone cure.

Who It's For

Acupuncture Can Help With

  • Pain relief: back, neck and joint pain, headaches, neuropathy and more
  • Stress and mental wellness: reduces anxiety, balances emotions, improves sleep
  • Energy and vitality: boosts energy, immune function and overall well-being

  • Preventive care: food therapy, nutrition advice and exercises for long-term wellness

Safety & What to Tell Us First

Acupuncture is safe for most people when performed by a licensed practitioner with sterile, single-use needles. We screen every patient first and modify or avoid treatment in the following situations:

  • Pregnancy, which changes which points are appropriate
  • Blood thinners or a bleeding disorder
  • A pacemaker or other implanted electrical device, if electroacupuncture is being considered
  • Active infection or broken skin at a planned needle site
  • Lymphedema in the limb being treated
  • Any recent surgery, injury, or significant change in your health

Tell us about any implants, medications, or health changes before your first treatment.

FAQ

Any Concerns?
We'll put your mind at rest

Q: Does acupuncture hurt?

For most people, no. The needles are far finer than the ones used for injections. You may feel a brief tap, a dull ache, or a warm heaviness at a point, and many people feel nothing at all.

Q: How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what you are treating and how long you have had it. Many conditions respond over a series of 6 to 10 sessions, often one or two a week to start, then tapering.

Q: Is it safe?

Yes, when performed by a licensed practitioner. We use sterile, single-use needles that are disposed of after every treatment, and we screen every patient before the first session.

Q: When can I be seen?

Acupuncture appointments are Tuesday and Thursday, 4 to 7 PM at our Stuart office, by appointment.

Q: Can I combine acupuncture with my chiropractic care?

Yes, and most patients do. Acupuncture pairs well with adjustments, decompression, massage therapy and stretching, and we plan them together.
